Haverstraw, New York

Haverstraw built itself from brick. Work on it carefully.

Haverstraw made the bricks that built the river towns, and kept plenty for itself — a village of century-old masonry whose walls demand more respect than modern installers usually bring.

Old masonry is not a modern wall.

Hundred-year-old brick and its lime mortar hold buildings up beautifully and forgive carelessness never: anchors torqued into soft brick spall it, penetrations cut without care crack what a century preserved, and water follows every badly sealed opening into the wall's heart. Our Haverstraw installations treat the masonry as the client — mounting into mortar joints and sound structure rather than through brick faces, penetrations cored cleanly and flashed so the wall sheds water the way it always has, line sets routed where the building's logic accepts them, and bracket loads spread to what the old wall can honestly carry.

The village and the waterfront.

Behind the brick walls, Haverstraw's rowhouses and village buildings get the regional standard — boiler and heating service, ductless cooling floor by floor, moisture watched in riverside foundations — and the newer waterfront communities get their own association-aware practice. All scheduled in advance from Clifton.

Frequently Asked Questions

Haverstraw questions, where the old brick is worked carefully.

Can a condenser be wall-mounted on our old Haverstraw brick?

If the wall's condition supports it, yes — anchored to sound structure through mortar joints with the load spread properly. Where the masonry argues against it, we say so and ground-mount instead. The wall's assessment comes first.

What does a careful penetration through old brick involve?

Clean coring at a chosen location, sleeved and sealed so water stays out, and flashing that respects how the wall drains. It is minor surgery done with the building's age in mind.

Pacific Air also serves neighboring Stony Point and Nyack.
