Nanuet, New York

Nanuet's ranches sit on slabs. The system comes from the attic.

Much of Nanuet was built on concrete slabs — no basement, no crawlspace, nowhere below the floor at all — and slab construction quietly dictates how every mechanical decision in the house gets made.

Designing without a downstairs.

A slab house offers no basement for equipment and no underfloor path for ducts, so everything the house needs must live at grade or above: air handlers positioned in attics engineered for access and service, ductwork run overhead and insulated for attic conditions, closet-mounted equipment where the attic cannot serve, and high-wall returns doing the work basements usually hide. Houses whose original ducts were buried in the slab itself face the era's known trouble — moisture and deterioration in runs nobody can reach — and the honest correction is abandonment in place with a properly designed overhead replacement, which we plan as a standard conversion rather than an improvisation.

The hamlet's homes.

Nanuet's ranches, splits, and newer streets get the full scheduled practice from Clifton — heating service across the stock, cooling designed for each construction, replacements itemized in writing at the property.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nanuet questions, where the slab houses get served from above.

Our Nanuet slab ranch has weak, musty airflow from the floor vents. What is that?

Likely the original in-slab ducts, which age badly where no one can inspect them. The reliable fix is retiring them and serving the house from overhead — a conversion we design and price as one complete scope.

Where does equipment go in a house with no basement?

The attic or a dedicated closet, engineered properly — platform and access in the attic, condensate handled with real protection, and clearances that make future service practical instead of punishing.

Pacific Air also serves neighboring New City, Pearl River, and Spring Valley.
